Christiane and Hubert Neuhaus with their team

We’re Christiane and Hubert Neuhaus, and we’re an experienced duo that works well together. Over the past 15+ years we’ve handled many challenges, both personal and professional. We joined forces through our shared enthusiasm for paper – after having successfully worked at our own recovered paper and recyclable waste disposal companies.

We see paper as the most beautiful organic recyclable material in existence. When handled optimally and sustainably, it’s a reusable resource that saves a valuable raw material: wood. To ensure that this is also reflected in our climate footprint, we support ecofriendly trade. In keeping with our maxim “Eco Paper Trade,” we cover any distance using the most climate-friendly route – while also staying on schedule. And because we enjoy tackling challenges, we’re also your reliable contact when it comes to complex delivery routes or procuring special grades, both domestically and abroad – and we do it capably, dynamically, and flexibly.

Hubert Neuhaus

I’ve been active in the recovered paper trade since 1983. Up until the 2000s, I held a number of management positions in different areas of the waste management sector. For over 10 years, I was also in charge of marketing for a European waste management group. Since 2009, my focus has been on the recovered paper trade as the owner and Managing Director of Neuhaus OHG based in Forchheim, Bavaria, Germany.

My other activities and positions include my function as Vice President of the German Federal Association for Secondary Raw Materials and Waste Management (bvse) and the Bureau of International Recycling (BIR) in Germany and as Chairman of the bvse’s Paper Recycling Division.

Christiane Neuhaus

Managing Director Neuhaus OHG

As the daughter of an entrepreneur, I was exposed to my family’s medium-sized waste management company from an early age. After studying business administration in Frankfurt, Germany, and completing a BBA degree in English at Hogeschool Utrecht in the Netherlands, I began working at the DG Bank specializing in money-market trading. I then brought this knowledge and experience to my role as a Managing Director of our family-owned waste management company, and I specialized in recovered paper. In 2009 I joined my husband, Hubert Neuhaus, as Managing Director of our own company, Neuhaus OHG.

I’m also a Bavarian State Chairwoman for the bvse, a member of the CCI Environmental Committee (Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ostwestfalen zu Bielefeld), and I serve on the Board of Examiners for Office Communication and as Supervisory Board member on behalf of the social services organization Lebenshilfe Werkstätten Forchheim gemeinnützige GmbH. Since September 2021, I’ve also held office as the first female Vice President in bvse history.
